Banteay Meanchey Province
Description
Banteay Meanchey province is a province of Cambodia located in the far northwest. It borders the provinces of Oddar Meanchey and Siem Reap to the east, Battambang to the south, and shares an international border with Thailand to the west. Its capital and largest city is Serei Saophoan. Banteay Meanchey is one of the nine provinces that are part of the Tonle Sap Biosphere.

Banteay Chhmar Temple:is the small ancient temple in Banteay Meanchey Province that have location in Thma Pouk District where have distance from capital about 55.62 kilometers along the national No69A . Banteay Chhmar temple was built between 12th century or 13 century during the reign of king,Javarman VII.
Ang Tra Peang Thmor : is rich in gray cranes. Gray cranes migrate to Rattanakiri annually to lay their eggs. When their offspring are big enough, the cranes return to Trapiang Tmor since there is more food here.The existing species in Ang Trapeang Thmor are being classified as globally or near globally threatened.
Kang Va Basin: have located in Serey Sophoan District, Banteay Meanchey Province. It's the nature resort which give a very beautiful scenery with abundance of fresh air. It was built from 1976 to 1978 during the Khmer Rouge regime as a water reservoir for dry season rice cultivation.
Banteay Torp Temple: is a very interesting temple site and very popular place to have picnic. Banteay Torp mean an army base in english. It was built at the same period of Banteay Chhmar Temple.
Weaving Handicraft: is the once of economic culture of Cambodian people in Banteay Meanchey Province,there are many different type. If you are able to pass by there, you should pay a visit to see how cool it.
