Description
Prasat Phnom Banan is the one of an ancient temple firstly built during the mid 11th century and the end of the 12th century by King Ut Tak Yea Tit Tya Varman II, and finally built by King Jayavarman VII. Prasat Phnom Banan is on the top of the mountain, so you have to climb up 358 stairs to reach the temple.
`Banan Temple` is located in Kon Tey 2 Commune, Banan District, Battambang Province. Prasat Phnom Banan is about 25 kilometers from the center of Battambang Province. This place is one of the places where you can enjoy seeing the structure of the ancient temple. Moreover, some Cambodians go there for praying and relaxing on top of the mountain with the view of the Banan District.
