Kean Svay Krau

Description

Kean Svay Krau is located in Phum Thom Commune, Kean Svay District, about 19 kilometers from Phnom Penh or approximately 30 kilometers from Takhmao. To reach Wat Kean Svay, cross the Monivong Bridge and head east along National Road 1 for 19 kilometers. The entrance to the pagoda is on the left, about 300 meters from the main road.

The site covers 10 hectares and is lush with trees and natural vegetation. Fruit trees line the edge of the Ktub River, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere where visitors can sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful riverside scenery. The river also serves as a transportation route to Ka Om Village, another well-known tourist spot in the area.

Thanks to its natural beauty, Kean Svay has gained attention from the provincial tourism department and local authorities. Efforts have been made to attract more visitors by adding parking, restroom facilities, and improving security around the site.

How to Get to Kean Svay Krau?

Kean Svay Krau is about 19 kilometers from Phnom Penh City, making it easy to reach by motorbike rental or tuk-tuk. A round-trip tuk-tuk ride typically costs around $20. Many travelers opt to visit as part of a half-day tour, which gives plenty of time to explore and relax by the riverside before heading back to the city.
