Prae Roup Temple

Description

Pre Rup Temple is a Hindu temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. The temple's name is a comparatively modern one meaning "turn the body". Pre Rup Temple is a temple in Angkor Complex made of a pyramid-shaped temple-mountain with the uppermost of the three tiers carrying five lotus towers. It was a grand sight to see and explore. It usually is the first temple to visit while doing the "Grand Circuit", so there are plenty of people here at the same time. Maybe starting early or going here last is a better option, if you want to beat the crowds.
