Choeung Ek Genocidal Center is the dark memories of Cambodia people, with more than 20,000 mass grave sites containing more than 1.38 million bodies according to the Documentation Center of Cambodia, However, this place has a long history behind it and reminds one of the horrifying times that the people of Cambodia have gone through during the reign of Khmer and after.
The largest of the Killing Field was Choeung Ek, which sits on the outskirts of Phnom Penh there is location about 15 kilometers from Phnom Penh City and made famous by the film of the same name "Killing Field". it was a place where more than 17,000 civilians were killed and buried in mass graves; many of them transported here after detention and torture in Toul Sleng. This place is a chilling reminder of the brutalities of the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime.
