Hi! I'm excited to share my journey to Silk Island, a great place to escape from the city on a day trip. Silk Island is known for its beautiful countryside views and its growing popularity as a destination for cycling trips.

I visited Silk Island on August 18th, a public holiday in Cambodia. The journey to Silk Island is not difficult. I first arrived at the pier that serves Koh Dach and Koh Oknha Tei, located past the Jroy Jong Va bridge on National Road 6. The boat ticket price is 1500 riel per person, and the journey takes about 15 minutes.

Once I arrived on Silk Island, I first visited Chamka Snea Resort. This is a private tour, so the entrance fee is $0.50 for local tourists and $1 for foreigners. There is not much to see at Chamka Snea Resort, but it is a good place to learn about the traditional methods of silk weaving and see some of the beautiful silk products that are made on the island.

I also visited the Silk Island Community Weaving Center. This is a non-profit organization that helps to promote the traditional silk weaving industry on Silk Island. The center offers free tours and demonstrations of silk weaving, and it also sells a variety of silk products.

I had a great time visiting Silk Island. It is a beautiful and peaceful place, and it is a great way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day trip.

Here are some of the things you can do on Silk Island:

Visit the Silk Island Community Weaving Center to learn about the traditional silk weaving industry and see some of the beautiful silk products that are made on the island.

-Take a boat ride on the Mekong River and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

-Go for a walk or bike ride through the countryside and explore the local villages.

-Visit the Chamka Snea Resort to learn about traditional Khmer culture and see some of the beautiful ancient architecture.

-Relax on the beach and enjoy the sun and sand.

I hope you have a wonderful time visiting Silk Island!
